I have a 54 olds, and i am trying to bypass the Knee-action shock/ upper control arms on the front. I want to run regular shocks. I know that 55's have a regular style shock, and control arm. Has anyone swapped these out with any success??? Thanks!

i have a '54 olds too,it would almost be easier to swap the body onto a '55 or '56 Olds frame.
the good news is,if you want to install airbags in front you wouldn't need to relocate the shocks! ;):p

Yeah, thats true :) Do you know if there is a cheaper place to get those shocks rebuilt than the ever evil Kanter?? I had even thought about welding a shock mount stud to the control arm, and the frame. My rear is airbagged and major frame mods have been made so swapping frames isn't really an option. But any info is welcome!
