Technical 54 CHEVY TIRE SIZE

    Any one know a good tire size to put on a 54 chevy ...it currently has G78-15's on it??? want a nice bias ply with atleast 2 1/2 whites on it.....this tire size has me all jacked up??? ( G78-15 ) I like the style of tires in this pic..... 963415f6c7c0ce5d23cf4128610f0ebd.jpg

    6.70-15 Firestones are what most people run on '54 Chevy's. If I were to guess on the car above I would say Jesse was running 205/70/15's radials.

    They will fit 15 x 5 steel wheels like those right??

    I may be wrong but I think a 215/75/15 is the equivalent to a G78-15. If you have a Coker or Diamond Back catalogue they have the crossover list there.
     

  5. I am running G78-14 2 1-2" white walls with 58 Chevy wheels 6" station wagon in the rear 5" in the front on my 53. I keep getting a image to large message when I try to upload a file.

  8. How about these 9-50-14 on 57? Chevy wheels.
    These are Lesters with a 2-1/2 inch wite wall.
    I'm sure they have them in 7-50-14 or so to fit your wheel wells.

    My Dad's, now my sons, 50 convert. 205/75-15 on stock 15" wheels. Son is saving for new tires and Chrome wheels; probably 215/70-15 with wide whites

    54's came new with 6.70-15s
