Thanks guys. I got sick a couple weeks ado so I haven't been able to do anything but I started working on it again tonight and sprayed the white.
Unmasked and started fitting a few things
Really liked this photo and messed with it a bit. Cool car and you have made a ton of progress!
Thanks! Picture looks cool
That is going to look fantastic. Nice work!
Thanks but I think I like the original better!
Got the car wired today. Going to start it up this week
Great looking ride ! Year's ago a friend of mine had a '54 Bel Air 2dr. Post, Powder Blue/White Top. Had the stock ohv6 with a split manifold. The car was mostly original, but that didn't matter because it was so perfect/near mint as it was. It was stunning.
The '53 & '54's are cool in any guise...and for a long time were overlooked. Glad you've done this one...when it's finished it will be a real knockout !
Wow, looks great!
I love it when I occasionally find a custom car on this forum that doesn't "lay frame".
Wish I was at that point with my 1950. Just too little time...
Nice work on the repairs and paint. Keep up the good work, and posting pics for the rest of us to see.
'54. Bueno, Junipero!
The '54 Chevs are the real shit. Nothing prettier, they take the Custom route gracefully.
Your painting skills are daring, reckless...Hard to do in a paint booth, let alone in a garage... this is remarkable.
Anxious to see it outside...(is the six staying?)
Thanks everyone. I can't wait to see it outside either. And yes the six is staying
Looks good !
Im liking it! I like to always paint the roof and the rest of the car another day.Always afraid ill lean into fresh paint on the door qtrs. etc.
So after rewiring everything I tried starting it. The starter just spins and won't kick out and engage. Not sure what the problem is. Any ideas?
Started wet sanding tonight too
I put the rear window in today. Going to take a break from that now and do some pinstriping
Looks like a awesome build. I really like the colors.
Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Got the front window and trim in tonight.
I am impressed... very nice build.
Car looks great , not too out there but enough to make it stand out .
Coming along nicely
Can you send a picture of how it's wired? Usually the solenoid needs to kick in and engage the drive gear at the same time before the motor will turn at all.
Just saw this in person.
Pictures dont do it justice.
This is gonna be one awsome kustom.
Should have had me look at that starter when i was there.
Hey thanks man. Just got a new starter. Going to put it in this weekend and see what happens.
Looking good, Mitch.
Beautiful build!!!! Love the color choice and flaked roof!
So i put the new starter in. When I jump it it kicks out but won't turn the engine over. The ignition switch gets power. When I turn the key the solenoid terminal gets 6v. But the starter doesn't kick out or turn. Can't figure it out. Anyone?
