Those of you that know me know the problems I've been having with my Chevy. She's my daily driver and she's been in the shop for 4 months with no end to the drama in sight. I need some inspiration. I know about 50Chevy.com and the rest of the pic sites so no smart ass comments please. I guess I'm looking for a little spiritual uplifting from the brothers!

Short version is that I blew the motor, had the best motor guy I could find rebuild it, only to have some d**kless piece of s**t mechanic screw up the install so bad that the motor is now back at the rebuilders and the "mechanic" is trying to charge me double the quoted price for half the job and is basically holding my car ransom. :(

I'm accepting pity in the form of cash.....:D

JC_32... That's your car? I had it as my screensaver for a while. I love that thing!

Wow Moonglow2. I've always wondered what she'd look like in black. Very nice!

Yeah, it's mine. I just pulled the 400 and stabbed an l6. I scored the l6 off craigslist from a guy for 100 bucks. He said it ran, but it didn't have any oil in it? I figured it would have to be rebuilt. I got some time and dove into it and found that it had just been re-built. Now, it's in and runs like a top. I just got lucky....
    Get that car running man.....

Moonglow diggin the style and JJ that thing is a sexy bitch.....

So, did you have anything in writting as to repair time/price? Did you pay in full up front? Other threads like yours here. You are not the first, will not be the last. Know it does not make it any easier for you. Hope you have some other car guys around to help you figure out how to get your ride back in good condition.
