Seasons over with SEGA. I'm happy to get the things accomplished I set out to do this year. Car drives good, hooks up pretty good on a 9 inch slick, transmission and clutch doing good. Still collecting parts for the 306 for next season. This year we qualified in the middle of the field, hoping for top quarter next year. This field is flying this year ! Thanks Caleb Sewell for the pic !
Been busy this off season ! New motor being built, almost there, finished metal work, body work and paint ! New look for the FIDDLE PICKER !!
Stripes on the roof are the cat’s meow
Looks great but I would paint the sections of the rollbar that show through the back window black or blue like the car.
Man that looks good!
Living on the edge Loudbang ! The whole interior is red, did it on purpose. I agree, not for everybody and I'm evidently not a judge of fine wine LOL !
Went to Baileyton Alabama with the new 306 engine. Ran good, still not fast enough ! Got some major tweaking to do. Didn't have shifter stops adjusted properly and kept twisting 3-4 selector shaft. Figured it out too late for first round. Got a replacement today and stops adjusted. On a better note Jimmy "Buffalo" Hall does some neat visual effect "what if" prints and got mine done after Baileyton. I think it's COOL !!
Great seeing you there Johnny! Did you see the car that lost a back bumper full of pennies on the track Friday night ?
Heard about the pennies that fell out !! Not saying I wouldn't use them in secure cannisters on the inside, really fine tune your ballast !! Great to see you Tony !
It was good to see you there, Johnny! The Studebaker is lookin' great.
Thanks Brian ! Good seeing you also !
Got my Father's Day gift from Rhonda. A two gallon spun aluminum tank for the Fiddle Picker ! Already got it mounted ! Still have to plumb it.
Had fun at Atlanta Motor Speedway Friday night !! SEGA there doing exhibition match races. I had B.B. Brown's Deputy Dawg Willys. The Deputy Dawg is a survivor 60's drag car (new paint etc.) that he has owned for 30 years !!
Thats gotta feel great lining up and getting ready to blast off!
You cut a good light on that run, Johnny!
Love it !!
Almost cut it too close !! Watched a slo-mo my son recorded and I was rolling while the yellows were still on !!
Great picture. I hope you don't have that much lead on me when we match race. I am getting ready as fast as I can.
Looking forward to it Mike. Take it easy on me !!
