53 Studebaker:3 years of work on and off, around 1000 hours labor by the best mechanics, engine builders and fabricators in north texas, and around $15k in vintage parts etc... gen 1 350 re-built balanced and blueprinted by kim barr in garland tx. approx. 2k miles ago he did all the machine work and internal modifications so I don't know all details but his goal was 375hp.. built to be streetable and mounted with a special hurst conversion mount made for this swap back in the 60's (see pic) , Muncie m20 rebuilt 500 miles ago and new mccleod clutch setup put in at same time with hydrolic thowout with a willwood mc also flywheel resurfaced and the custom drive shaft rebalanced. at same time rear suspension redone with new shocks, new slapper bars, and new leaf springs made by eaton Detroit and made to spec for the drive train set up i.e. heavier duty than original, rear is 8" ford non posi. front drums converted to disks using turner brakes kit and a brake booster added with dual MC and a proportioning valve. entire car has been rewired 12 volt, battery in trunk with a cutoff switch, all new plumbing, all new weather stripping, new radiator, gas tank cleaned, new fuel pump, carls customs in red oak TX.(reality rides tv show) did all that work as well as 18 months ago they replaced floor pans rockers body mounts firewall etc using parts from classic enterprises http://www.classicent.com/studebaker/coupes-hawks and a custom made trans tunnel and fabricated extra cross members to handle the new drive train all work performed on a frame table and confirmed straight frame, 3 years ago the entire front suspension and all steering components were replaced using nos parts from Studebaker international work performed by jeff milburn of automotive racing and fabrication dallas tx.... this car has been a daily driver (between these jobs) and was built for that purpose and as such the paint is driver quality, it was an excellent professional job but now has normal wear and tear. the interior has new carpet but the rest should be redone if someone wants show quality... there are no rips etc but its not a beauty. bumpers were re-chromed recently with headlight rings, and the tail light housing are mint NOS so they didnt need to be re-chromed... dash is 56 power hawk using half original working warner gauges and rest replaced with as close as possible match I am attaching pics from throughout the last couple years work stages, and of course some taken at recent car shows... car is always garaged... and all work performed by specialists, I don't even change my own oil which btw this car is always ran on joe gibbs high zinc oil and changed every 3 months. everything on the car functions including horn... trades considered but no total projects, must be finished or at least 90% finished

uppity up! thousands of dollars in spare parts also... looking for 1926-1940 finished cars as a trade, might consider late 60's muscle... or a cash sale... known as the Lowey Coupe after Raymond Lowey design team, this is an iconic piece of American automotive design. voted as one of the greatest designs of american automotive history!!this car has over $60K spent on it and gets tons of admiration everywhere it goes... very very rare car, in 5 years of going to shows, I have only seen 3 others... would you rather have just another tri5 or one of millions of 32's, or would you rather have one of only a handful of original steel 53 Studebakers...
