History .53 packard sidetrim

    I found a set of '53 packard front fender moulding that has a "feather" dropping off the bottom. Was it ever used on early customs? I saved it in the early '60's but never had a Packard. Cute;may use it on the '50 mercury; opinions????????

    The car in the picture above was Dan Landon's, built by Barris in the early '50s. There's another chopped '49-'51 Chev that's been shown on the West Coast for years that used the Packard trim. I'd say it's an attractive, interesting piece that's been used on several customs over the years. Use it!

    Yes, indeed ! This was an add to many customs in the 50's...works well on those models. I've seen it on Chevs, Pontiacs, and others. I think Lou Calisabetta may have even used it on a '51 Merc that I Interviewed him about a few years back.

    Cool piece to use...also keeps non-gearheads guessing !:D
