It looks like you scored a WINNER!

Body looks solid. How are the interior metal panels?
I wasn't aware that Hudson's were available in Belgium.

My first job I did was to take the plugs out and put some atf with diesel in the cilinders and let the engine soak for a week because it has bin frozen. think the car has not bin running for a long time. it is a 262. yesterday I took the head of. and I'm happy I did.....

Cool! I had a 52 Wasp 2 door for awhile, always regretted selling it. Fairly rare, not a lot of hudson wasps around.

That car with a 308" Twin-H-Power 7X engine and overdrive would hold it's own on the highway over there.

Thanks for posting the pictures of your cars. The 53 Wasp coupe is a rare car. It appears you are a full blown Hudson enthusiast. With all the cars you have purchased you will be able to bring both the Hornet and Wasp back to life. I have been a Hudson owner since 1964 and over that span of time have had the pleasure of owning and driving many of the Stepdown Models. From experience many of the problems associate with a stuck engine can be found by completely tearing the engine down and correcting the faults found. Parts are available to completely renew your engine. As someone suggested, joining the HET CLUB is a plus. Membership will open the door to many others who have the same Hudson car appreciation. This will also bring you in contact with other owners and sources of information and parts to assist in your restoration. Good Luck and please continue to share your future restoration adventures.

My gawd. That side profile, it hits all my buttons. Bow up, stern down, screams early custom to me. You sir have good taste, wherever this build goes...

I think I will use the 308 from the wasp 4 doors instead of rebuilding the 262 from the coupe.

Good looking project. I will attest, even a tired, weak-cylinder, Twin-H 308 can run 80 down the highway and still surprise and embarrass the other guys. :)

Nice Hudson. I used to have a very nice lowmileage 50 Pacemaker many years ago. It rode like a new car. Excellent hanlding.
I might have some NOS parts for it still. A fuelpump among other things. I dont know if it fits the 262. If interrested Pm me and I can try to dig it out from my attic. I am located in Norway.
