53' Dodge Build

  1. I've been on here a while but havent ever posted any pictures of my 53' dodge pickup build. so here hare some pictures from start to now...

    Just another ruined Dodge pickup with a cheby engine.
    You asked! I guess you did a nice job on the reast of it though.

  8. Monzadood is right I needed this for motivation,,, mine is a 49,,,does not look anything like yours,, You have a nice truck,,,I do have some valve covers like those,, If that counts as a start

  14. Thanks guys, the front end is a Fatman Mustang 2. i know it needs a mopar engine but i have this engine already. thanks alot guys this truck will be my first finished (if you will) Hotrod.

    That truck is so nice, I hate to see it ruined by a small block. Couldn't you find a mopar motor?

    More pics, please! Doing something very similar and would like to see some shots. Is the rearend original or are you using something else?
     
  18. I started this truck last weekend of january this year so i used some of things i had for my GMC truck which included the motor so i didn't have time to find a Mopar motor, would be cool with one. more pictures soon.

    All it needs is a 360 and a 883 4spd. Looks killer though.

    nice truck. what tranny? I had considered a SBC so I could use a 700R instead of my 904.
     
  21. the tranny is a turbo 350, truck has a posi 9" ford rear.
     
  22. Mate I luv it very nice ride. I can even "just" handle the SBC...but how kool would a wide block Poly look in that black engine bay with a set of triples ??

    Nice car.....nicer with a MoPar mill....!!

    This was 6 months ago, and a beautiful truck.

    Any new progress or road shots?????

    As for the engine....."One on the road is worth Ten in the garage":D

    I think you nailed it! I've had a few of those old Dodge truck during my life.

  28. No, i got stock height spindles, i cut two full coils of stock v8 springs.
