Projects 53-54 Studebaker C/K Headlight Rings Without The Hood

Surfing through pictures of Studebaker coupes, I noticed several that did not have the original Sudebaker headlight bezel that has the hood over the top of the light. They had normal looking headlight bezels. My guess is that it was dry lakes guys trying to cheat the wind.

Anybody know what rings will match up to the Stude fenders?

 

I have seen folks use headlight rings from a GT Hawk. The seem to bolt right on. I guess that is correct since the fenders are the same for CK's from '53 through '64. The holes for trim are different but the shape is the same.
