My '54 custom is under construction once again. Motor/trans are out, interior is completely gutted, painless wiring is almost in, etc etc etc.... Looking for some cool ideas, plus I just like seeing these cars because you don't see them that often! Anyone have any cool '53 or '54 chevy's, let's see some pics. There has been lots of these 53/54 threads, and most Hamber's have seen mine before, but I'll bite, here's two more pics. It's actually featured in the January Street Rodder magazine.

"You don't see them that often"? Boy have you finally found the right discussion board! The HAMB is LOADED with '53-54 Chevy owners (myself included). Search around - you will find a ton of info and photos. You can also search by year, make, and model on carnut.com (I think that's the address but I'm on the wrong computer so send me a personal message if you can't find it.)

polytoxic, sure looks like you and i are in the same boat and not far from one another. mine needs to be lower and i'm thinking maybe 52-54 lincoln taillights or 54 mercs on extended quarters and a healthy nose and deck job in the immediate future once the patches and shit go in.
Here is mine prior to having it chopped in October. Like yours I plan some more mods but those pics will have to wait until it's finished. Does anyone know how to weld pot metal? I have used Muggy weld before but I am not a proficient welder. I'd rather hire a pro.
My 54 project took a different turn so I have parts to sell, 10 bolt rear end 60" with 3" lowering blocks and U bolts, V8 bolt in motor mounts. Todd, 513 708 4115
Here's my 54' project I bought back in February. It is still under construction so no new pics right now. I am planning on turning her into a full custom. I want bags on all four corners and will probably end up painting her in a burgandy(black cherry)metal flake with chrome reverse and wide whites. Maybe putting in a 350 sbc..lots of details to work out yet!
I'm working on a 53 right now, got a lot of stuff planned for it. No side or door trim, nosed and decked, frenched headlights, suicide doors, chopped...LOTS of body work!
Here is my new girl. I didn't build it but I plan on doing some things to it. I'm considering chopping it but am not in a hurry b/c it looks great the way it is. I wanted to build one but can't find the time to do it b/c I'm to busy in the shop with the bikes, so I decided to find one that has my style so I can enjoy a running project. How did I do? -JC
