I am curious to see if there's anyone here that has added AC to their 235/261 six. Ive got a 54 thats my daily and when summer comes and I want to tote my kids around in it, it'd be nice for them not to melt in the car.

Anyone done this successfully?? I assume there is some ind of custom bracket for the compressor that would need to be made......

I've seen it done but not close enough to have paid much attention. There have been posts over at the chevytalk website of people who have done it.

It's just like putting one on any other car. They even make brackets for this. It was either patrick dykes, langdons, or national chevy association that sells them, can't remember which. If you make your own evaporator & fan housing just remember that it has to have a drain.

It shouldn't be that big of a deal. And there are probably cheaper alternatives to Vintage Air.

    My thoughts exactly!!

"Lowmaster" on here sells a decently inexpensive under dash system, all I would need are brackets and figure out where to mount everything........

Im wondering how much stress this puts on a 235......
