Technical '53 3100 Bed wood and finish?

Time to replace some wood that was finished and installed some 20 years ago. Its got some kind of clear coat/varnish on it and its delaminating.

Who makes the best quality kit (wood only) and what do you recommend for a high gloss finish? Thanks.

Mar-k used to be affordable, now may as well get wood you want to use and a router.
