Started a thread on the '53/4 corvette carby intake set up before this came home to get info on it. Now the car is home and it is great!

Not sure where togo with it aside from putting it together. Thinking just get it running and drive it./

    Thoughts?

Not sure where to go yet, got a few things to do first. Inclination is to assemble, clean and drive.

    Do people chop these?

Going to run the crovette 3 carby set up. posted thread about that to learn earlier, folk who responded make me thing that is the thing to run, no brainer there. Better than the Harper, will need a new project for that.,

    Cheers!

Happy days here in beautiful peoples republic of New Jersey !

"Do people chop these?" Although the one pictured is not a sport coupe, I think a sport coupe with this chop would look just as good. Let me enlighten you with this picture.. (and hopefully influence you) :)

TS... Ian Berky chopped Munster's sport coupe, looked freakin' awesome too! I'm contemplating a chop, but probably won't. :(

A real nice time capsule. Absolute class. It'd be nice to see an early Chev left the hell alone without a Mustang II clip, bags, auto trans.....

The sport coupe has such a graceful flow to it. A good chop is nice but I couldnt hold it against you if you didnt.

Running/driving. Lower it. Clay bar the paint, load it with glaze, foam pad it. Shiny patina.

If I remember right, that picture came from the Anti-Bag 49-54 Chevy thread. The original poster of that picture may be able to help you out. I'll look for his post tomorrow for you.

Great score! Just get it going first, it's already sharp!
(Although you may want to cut the coils and add lowering blocks. ;))

One of my favorites is Superflye's '49, originally done by Barris. (Even nicer with Sombreros in place.)

Looks to be a good clean body with lots of bits and pieces to go with it you have to be happy with that. I would love to own a sports coupe.
