Its a 51 Merc 2 door, chopped carson top on an 83 Cadillac frame. The Caddy frame is shortened to fit the body but not dropped yet. I took out the front springs today and lowered it down and it is starting to look like something I could drive. The front coil was huge!! When I put the little SBC motor and tranny in it it didnt even budge. Thats when I knew the springs had to go. The shock was in the usual place (center of the spring) so what is the most economical way to put a bag and shock in there? I did a little searching on the net and found a bag/shock combo for the low low price of $900. Thats crazy, there must be a cheaper way.
