    good thing there's google translate:

Wow, michaelvz51 the crazy things that are behind each car, when we have the project in the garage we do not imagine for much how many kilometers they have traveled, the workshops they have been in and unfortunately also in the hands of butchers who have touched their metal. Anyway, around here it is said that auos choose their owners, right? To regain health friend and here we continue

That's right, my friend, a beautiful city with a perfect climate, the biggest part of the year, I hope you have had a good time here on your visits, although I only know about 4 merc here, 3 1950 2 doors and 1 51 '4 doors

    Hello Topher,
Thank you for the translation, I was just going to do it myself! Pacorro has a really nice Merc too and I am going to respond to him also here:

Pacorro: Thank you for the kind words! Once I found out the history on my car, I had to share it because it is a crazy story that needed to be shared, especially in the early days of the story. I kept some of the "butchered" metal pieces from the build and they are hanging on my garage wall to remind me what I started with. I guess this car decided that it was going to be me to bring it back to life and make it a proper period correct lead sled again, but she certainly tested all of my fabrication skills and patience!
I will be posting more soon of some better cruising so others who do not own a Merc or Sled can get the feeling of what it is like to drive one.
I would really like to see others on the HAMB do some cruising videos of starting up and driving their car from both inside of the car and from the outside cruising on the highway so all of us can get the feeling of what it would be like to own and drive, say a 32' Ford Hot Rod, for example! That would be a cool thread......

Some more final build progress and some more bling…..
First: the split windshield. I got hold of a 50 Shoebox center bar from a Hamber, modified it to fit, polished the outside piece and painted the inside piece to match the car. Installed it with a simple rubber gasket inside and outage and it sealed up nicely and is another thing off the checklist 000571BF-B8C2-410D-BA5C-14376AB4E839.jpeg ED7DC367-4265-4B68-95BD-1F90960FD872.jpeg D268E19F-F1ED-4D63-BF4C-3F81AEBCB3EC.jpeg 74C6D2A3-128F-4DAB-B648-167BBA314E04.jpeg

I found a set of Stainless door sill plates online, slightly modified them to fit my car and the results are stunning to me (but I am biased, right?!?). I really like them though…

Hey Stinkity! Glad you enjoyed my journey so far! Hope it somehow helped you in your build too, I learned a lot on the H.A.M.B. while I was doing my car. If you really want to see more, check out my YouTube build videos, that will keep you busy too! Now, get back to work on your car, it ain’t gonna build itself!

Hello everyone, here is the latest video we just did to try to simulate what it feels like to drive a Lead Sled-hope you like it and now I have a challenge for the HAMB:
Lets see a video on you driving your car whether its a Hot Rod or A Kustom so others can see and feel what it feels like to go cruising.....
