It's time for an update, so i began to pull the truck completely apart.
Then we've cleaned the truck with clr and scotchbrite to take off some rust!!
The seat was in real bad shape, tracks were craked and there where coils that was completely worn out. The other was nicer!
i bought smaller tire and narrow wheels for the front and a rebuilded 283....
Worked on my seat not the big deal but i like it and it looks great!

Got my wires from and Hambr!
Fabricated my spare mount.
Sheet metal work is so hard when you don't know how, so i bought a floor pan and a lower fender patch panel...
In few days ill drop the motor and trans
Frame looks good! Looks like you may be putting it back together before long.
Nice work, my F1 should be here in a few weeks.
Looks like you have a great start to getting your F-1 sitting pretty! I like em low too. Everyone thinks mine is on bags, but its my everyday ride height!
Best of Luck with your F-1!

Thanks for the kind words!
I scored a rebuild point distributor for 40$ on kijiji
And these nice valve covers
Took off the paint and polished them
I Bought a fined air cleaner15" to hide the ugly quadrajet the guy gave me with the motor
Ive checked the casting numbers and i have a 327 cast iron intake sounds good!?
Where didyou get the seat cover
I saw your truck in an other thread and i was sure it was bagged! So its lowwwww! Awesome truck btw!
Lmc, i don't like leather style so i bought the velour style.
I used a 2" camping mattress instead of the original padding!
Looks good for my first seat restoration!
Need more lol where from junk rod ??Edmonton here collecting parts to do a 52 mercury pickup
This is shaping up to be a very cool truck.
Great project! Could you measure the front shocks for me, at extension and compression? I think they are what I need on my 29AA project I need 18" extended and 14" compressed, or thereabouts.
Sorry guys for the delay...
So i scored a brand new in the box rad... The guy bought it for a 55 chevy car but its clearly a truck rad, so is loss my gain!
The only issue i had was the inlet that is centered so i bought a swivel thermostat housing.
I've refreshed my steering box bearing were ok so changed the brass bushing and got them honed a the machine shop, new oil seal and gasket.
I had a little problem with the carb gasket, i have late model Q-jet +/- 85 and the intake is a 66-68 so the hot slot was out of the gasket.
So i found on a corvette forum a combination of 2 felpro + 1 mr gasket to block the hot slot....
All the plumbing is done, just need to get my drive shaft length reduced its a bit too long.
Im almost ready for the break in, i leaved the carb to my friend is gonna check it.
On its wheel for the first time... Ya i know body is still missing... Loll
Its gonna be lowwwww
Sorry buddy but in not gonna remove them there been on the shelve since 2 1/2 years... 16 3/8" installed maybe it can help.
Ive answered your pm buddy! Did you find a seat cover?
