51 chevy - winter means time for projects

    Well its been a long time since i updated this project. Just got it back from my buddy who was doing the quarter panel rust repair. Its now back in my garage to sit a spell until I get time to pull it off the frame to start the reinforcement

    First is a snap shot of some primer to protect the repaired area until we get it ready for paint (about 2 yrs)

    and it sitting at home (with my 53 front end sitting on it.. the 53 wagon is apart getting its engine rebuilt)

    Man it has been awhile since I have worked on my 51, my attention has been pointed in other directions as life will sometimes do. This weekend I went into the garage and decide to make some progress and pull the body off the frame.

    Are you doing the convertible conversion on it? What rear springs are those; they don't look like the stock ones. I'd like to replace the stock ones on my wagon.
