Holy crap, this is incredible. And hell your just up the interstate from me.
The AC system is form Vintage Air we are a dealer for them and they are a good to work with. The car is going to Oklahoma and is to be used as a family car so the ac system is a must if you want too keep the wife happy. The windshield needs a little sanding the driver side went in and still need a little work to get the passenger side in. Anyone in the area is welcome to stop by the shop for the nickle tour.
Making head way on the assembly work still need t final fit the trim and the rest of the front end but getting their.
car looks sweet
turned out really good man. sweet!!
Coming along nicely!
What's the story on the Ferrari? Early 60's Berlinetta?
The 51 is rolling along some times when it comes to fitting the front end of these bigger cars realy makes you miss a model A highboy roadster.
The Ferrari is a 64 GT Lusso it was in the shop to get a belly pan remade, and a the foam backing reworked on the upholstory.
Rex, I'm a local guy here in Northern Colorado, and never knew your shop existed. I am blown away by the work you guys put out. I love this 51 project.
holy shit this turned out great!!!!!!!!
Made some head way this week the glass patterns are sent out and the assembly work is rolling along. The plan is to have the car done and out to the KKOA show in Salina KS. I think the satin black side window trim will work out a lot better than paying a chrome shop.
That is stunning. At first I was a little sorry to see the wrap around back light to, but you really hit the mark with the new roof line. It's a knockout.
I am happy with how it all turned out we could have gone futher with it but to maintain a budget and a mild custom this fits the bill i need to pull the top off and take a few shot of the car topless.
looks nice but if crome the ventwindows and keep the rest satin.
I think thats should looks better
Wow, thats beautiful! Perfect!
So the top comes off this????
The car is a removable hard top. next week i will pull the top off and snap a few pictures of the car.
The side windows will stay black the cost of chrome is too much and the chrome paint just looks wrong.
Still working on getting the car put together heading out t o a junk yard this morning to grab a few small items for the car. The owner of the car bought a travel trailer the same vintage as the car to tow behind it.
Here is the car with the top off the front header is all convertible parts
the sides are over center catches
and the rear a few blots at first we were going to make some guide pins or hooks fro the rear but with a heavy roof like this you want to be able just to lift it straight up and off and not worry about getting two people struggle taking it off.
The 1951 Chevy is near completion, Alan Johnson striped the car this week and on Monday we should be able to fire it off. One last stage the upholstery shop then the customer car run the wheels off the car.
if anything ever meant Sano, that's it
Found a leak in the air ride this morning one mor thing to add to the to do list.
Wow! Very Nice!
Al came in today and put down a few more strips.
We fired the car off yesterday and it sounds great didn't have achance to do much in the way of a test drive yet but still its good to hear it run. The exhaughst system is through the lakes pipes we were able to fit a muffler up inside the frame rail, the muffler has the inlet and outlet on the same end which made the operation a little easier. THe car will be heading out to the upholstory shop next week then on to Salina KS for the show.
That's wicked cool Rex, thanks for sharing.
