Technical '51-'54 Chevy Brakes....school a newbie

Forgive my lack of knowledge...

I am looking to put some '51-'54 Bendix brakes on Chevy spindles and don't know where to start.

What is the best way to get a hold of these brakes parts?
Are some available new and some have to be found used?

All I have are spindles at this point...nothing else.

There's lots of used stuff still out there, & most of the wear items are available new or rebuilt.
