Anybody put anything like a 502 in a 30's rod? I've been toying with the idea of trying to stuff a 502 or at least an LT1 into my '36 Plymouth. Anybody?
Many have fitted big blocks to 30s sedans. If you can squeeze it it, then its a good idea, after all thats hot rodding isnt it. The LT1 is the more sensible choice, but then, reducing hamburgers and fatty foods from your diet is also a sensible choice, and being sensible is for other people. I suggest you go with the 502 and then figure how to fit an old 871 supercharger to it. Just because you can.
you would need a good heat shield between you and it, probally a lizard skin type application on the firewall and bottom of the car. maybe even coat the frame in it. Later
