Discussion in 'Traditional Customs' started by Flop, Feb 1, 2008.

  1. Damn!

That kind of detail is humbling for hacks like me.

Yours is the first "mental condition" treatable with shop time.

    thanks everyone

well onto the bottom gap against the rocker.. it was waaaay to tight i dont kno what the deal wasbut its better now.

forgot to take a before pic this is just after i started wailing away

you can see how tight it was on the end thats how it was the whole way..dont no if its because they were cheap rockers or what..but some hammering and a wood chunk fixed the problem

who doesnt like a nice tight gap haha

next onto the vent window and fix anything else i find then be completley finished with the door

I hope you know that this is really great work flop. I love your OCD and it's really going to pay off in the end when this thing is dropping jaws every time you pass people.

    thanks guys

yeah that was very boring metal work bash..idk why just was .

every panel is modified on this car theo i dont kno what more ya want haha.

well i started messing with the skirt fit why the hell not at this point.

you can see the bad gap guessing it has to do with the ems panel and me messin with the skirt

you can see the bad gaps

here ya can see what it looks like after some beating to the quarter and filing to the skirt

still gotta weld up where i went through with the grinder and file but i didnt feel like stinking up the shop with all the undercoat on the back since its to cold to open the door
    [IMG]

now time for some input!! what do ya think about adding the little curve to the end instead of comin straight down?

I like the little curve in the fender skirt. Maybe just a little less than the other end of the skirt.

why not curve it, nothing else is straight or un-modified on the car.

hey what happened to the 47(not sure of year)s front fender? accident or just repaint?

Gotta say yes, and I'd start an half-inch higher than your red mark. I would not go with a round profile for the curve, either. Imagine something like a swoopy '~' curve (turned 45 degrees, and toned down a bit) to give a hint of Kool Kustom without going overboard. Just another one of the things that would make people scratch their heads.

Good to see you're back at it! How's the hand?

good point po po the more i look at the straight the more it bothers me. just a tiny little curve into the bottom of the skirt at the back

the 47 was victim to a hit and run
the thread is on here somewhere just search under my name

thank built...to the drawing board tomorrow. that was a last min ida right before i left the shop
the hand is feelin good got my strenght back..notice a weird feeling every now and again when its in a weird position but i can live with it.
