Hello, I am about to lower my 50 Ford in the front by flipping the uprights. So, to get the right camber adjusted, I read in other threads, the holes of the A-arm should be slotted. So I guess, these four little holes in the front Crossmember are the holes, which have to be slotted, when You flip the uprights, right? Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I have Aerostar springs and VW size tires on mine. It sits so low that I dont want it any lower and its a lot easier than flipped uprights
I had read that you had to heat and bend the uprights to fix the camber when the uprights were flipped. Maybe slotting would work though.
All of these threads talk about heating and bending the uprights to correct the camber. Just trying to help, not be an ass. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/anyone-ever-flipped-merc-spindles.55650/ https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/steering-tech-rocky-spindle-swap.6342/ https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/49-53-ford-flipped-uprights.57526/
Those are the correct holes to slot, no heating and bending is necessary if done correctly after you get your camber set where you want it, weld up the part of the hole you’re not using. Matt Martin has a write up on it on Facebook on shoebox library page Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
