I'm taking my fuel pump apart tonight, in anticipation of my rebuild kit getting here.

My question how do I need to take these out? I'm afraid to do to much incase they need to stay put.

  2. Those are the one way valves that make the pump work. One lets fuel in, one out. A rebuild kit should have new ones with it but I might wait until I get the kit before going too far and forgetting which one goes where.

I looked at the kit I've ordered from The Early Ford Store, it looks like the kit does come with it.

Just a side note but I would run no ethanol gas after you rebuild the fuel pump. The ethanol is hard on the rubber parts. Caseys and QT both have the no ethanol gas around here.

Those pumps with the pressed in valves are not rebuildable.

The rebuild kit from the Early Ford Store comes with them, they say?
