[IMG] looking for some ideas or suggestions for tailights for my wagon,,i for sure want to keep my center taillight, but need turn signals,i dont like the original optional lights that bolt on the quarter panels, was thinking about doing away with the reverse lights and puttuing some kind of taillights in their place,,any ideas/suggestion would be much appreciated.

Those accessory turnsignal/tail lights are stock 1939 Chevrolet taillamps.
They were used on 40-52 Sedan Deliveries, 40-55 1st Chevy and GMC Panel Trucks, and 40-52 Chevy Wagons.

  20. try lookin at some 49 plymouth tail lights, odd, but would look good on the wagon fenders. just my 2 cents

Having owned a wagon I think those that are on the 52 above are one of the best choices, other ideas are to find a set of factory wagon over riders (shorter on wagons then cars) and put the lights in those or go with a set of 40's chevy lights in the lower tailpan (kinda sq with rounded corners like the car itself

i do have the overriders and bumper tips, which i will be putting on,,have seen some cool over riders with lights in them, couple post had "how to" and it looks do able for me,kinda worried i will screw them up and they are hard to find(or mabye not) but for sure a option,,thanks:)

i am looking for saftey factor and availibility for sure,,thanks:)

well i "kinda" decided on taillights for my wagon, these are just "mocked up",i am going to keep the "third" center taillight(which is not in the pic),what do you guys/gals think? i think i need to "tunnel' them in so they are level or titled upward a bit,,although i dont weld "yet' or have a welder "yet"..any input appreciated and welcome:)...im in a "slow build" as we speak and can change at will,,,thanks:)
