The Meteor is the same as a Fairlane under the skin. And as far as I know the upper ball joint is the only part it has in common with other Fords. The front suspension is one off for Ford and difficult obtain parts for. The easy way would be to order a 5 lug dist break, Summit has them for $340.
Does Comet share Falcon suspension? If it does early Mustang may work.May be Maverick as well. The Granada was Falcon like too.
Check the diameter of the ball joint bolts and the distance between the joints! If the same, should work! But check to see if it can be alined , if it can, you are good to go! Bones
Early Comets (to 1965), Falcons (after mid 1961), and Mustangs directly interchange suspension, from like years. 1960-1961-1/2 Falcons would need later spindles, and upper control arms to interchange. 1965-1966 Mustang parts can be retrofit to all like an previous year Falcons, and 1965 and previous Comets.
Nope, but you can use any Falcon V8 spindle, from 1962-1965, or any Mustang V8 spindle, from 1965-1966. You can adapt later Granada spindles, with disc brakes
I also answered your question on the Comet Forum. (Where You did not specify what year Comet you were working on)
