Hey you don't want those old rusty things. Send em to me and I'll send you some shiny ones from HB.:D

    Nice score
  4. I think we are starting to see the golden days of garage/yard sales right now.
I have never seen so many as the last couple of Saturdays, literally hunders while out driving.
Starting to see a lot of upscale houses having them too, due to high mortgage pmts and a bad economy.

Nice, I love garage sales myself. I scored a little wood box full of ream's a couple weekends ago for $5.
  8. You've got some real antique pieces there--they're actually marked "Made in USA!"

Those are cute for sure. I hope they are intended for your collection and that you're not planning on actually using them.

BTW - My old man was a mechanic for many years (old school, could diagnose and repair absolutely anything) and he always swore by the "click" type torque wrenches. He felt like the "free-arm" ones like you found could never be trusted to be accurate.

P.S. Do you know the date of Jay's get-together? He PM'd me and invite, but never let me know when it was happening. I assume you'll have your digger there?

    Take care -

  23. That's a pretty cool find. That's the kinda stuff you find at estate sales.

We should start a "look what I bought at a garage sale" thread. Didn't someone buy some Ardun heads at a garage sale? I got a $100 68 VW convertible at one and a nice $700 Jeep CJ-5.

Those don't click. Usually you turn the dial to the setting you want and then pull untill the needle hits the set amount. The ones I had in the high school auto shop that I taught in were govt surplus.
