Technical 49ford car shift linkage

    does anyone have a pic of the shift linkage and all the parts for a 49-50 ford 4 door. thanks for any help

    thanks for the pic . but it doesent show what I was hoping for my car came in boxes and loose parts . I have a heavy duty u shape bracket about 6 in by 3 in that I cant figure out where goes I was thinking it was part of shifter or clutch linkage I will check out van pelts for more diagrams. thanks again for quick help...tony

    Find a complete car in your area. It could be a runner or a junkyard/yard queen.
    Make friends with the owner. Get your phone or camera and go over it.....actually lay your hands on it, feel how it’s assembled. Take lots of photos. Seeing and feeling the real thing and how it goes together is worth 100 pages of schematics and descriptions.

    The clutch equalizer bar, it's in that picture up there.

    there's a u-bolt that holds the steering column to the dash. it's square on the closed end...

    yep, the equalizer bar. that's what I need to know... thanks for the pics
