I went through the want ads on Hamb not to long ago and a car caught my eye being a 49 & 50 Olds 88 coupe lover this 49 Pontiac Silver Streak coupe kept me going back to look at it, finally i called Phil and we made the deal Now i just have to go to Whitehall Michigan to get it, hopefully next weekend here she is a California car built at the South Gate California plant and now in Michigan right now shes bone stock Straight Eight and three on the tree i'm just going to get the coupe driving for now this is the ad that did it http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=640817

So you are the one that bought it,I seen it in the classifieds and had visions of a 324 Olds under the hood to try to mimic a Olds coupe. If I remember the asking price you cant get a Olds in the same shape for that kind of money and enjoy it.
Thanks guys, i have a bad case of coupes this makes coupe number three 50 Olds 88 coupe 53 Studebaker coupe 49 Pontiac coupe guess i just like the look of my three coupes just enjoy looking at them now it's time to actually get up and do something my 4 other cars are going down the road i'll put to the bucks in these three the clocks ticking and the calender seems to be flying bye and nothings getting done
went to Whitehall Michigan picked up the 49 Pontiac club coupe i like it, cool car Phil helping me get the 49 ready to go he has many cool cars, Great guy stopped at my sons in Elmhurst Illinois coming and going to Michigan my crew checking out the new 49 coupe cool old Pontiac dealer frame got the car unloaded at home great weather the whole trip except in Hudson Wisconsin snow on the ground the good it wasn't on the road but it was in my driveway at home the only bad thing that happened was just north of Benton Harbor Michigan a Big deer ran out right in front of me with a guy passing me on the left the good news everybody made it, i'm glad the deer was fast i'll have some photos oh the 49 at the house later
nice car, if it wasn't far from where i reside i would of bought it and picked it up. i didn't want to hit up the seller asking questions about it knowing that i couldn't pick it up. just waiting for something closer to pop up and catches my attention.

got the 49 Pontiac coupe home before the snow sitting out for a photo op with the 50 Olds coupe the 49 got snowed on last night, bulldozed a path she's in with the 53 Stude coupe drove it in using the emergency brake
superb! another classic pontiac will live forever, you gonna keep her stock original (preferred) or are ya thinking custom (mild, if any i hope)? first year of the illuminating hood ornament, even still has the original dealer plate frame.. enjoy, and keep us posted..
