That front end looks wicked! I cant wait to see the grill in place. It'll look like a big monster or somethin. that is some fine metal work.
Wow, the modified Plymouth grille wins over the 'vette one big time! If your customer doest like it, its officially lame! Your metal work is spot on, wonder why there is still people that say your cars are bondo sleds? Envy? i guess so! Im curious on the wheel openings too, also cause im gonna do something very similar soon, and inspiration from you would be great!
I'm really digg'n this grill. Like we do to all kustoms we kind nick pick them. I was wondering of the grill was too close to the headlight buckets? I hope ya don't mind, I did a quick Photo shop. Happy Trails, Mick
Some really nice work going on here. I love how the grille mimics the split bumper. This thing is gonna be nasty
Hey Mick, I do like your photo shop pic. I do plan to shorten the ends still but have not decided on the over all length of the center merc grille. Mybee you can help me with some more photo shop pic's. I am thinking of removing one rib from both ends of the merc center but keeping the gap. Hard for me to explane but only move the outer ends in about 7/8" not right next to a rib leaving a 3/4" space. Thanks, Rick
Just about have the rear bumper apron & licenes plate box finished. We made the licenes plate box extra wide to fit the orginall 1949 Ca plates .
Fuck this is looking so sick INCREDIBLE work rick, the grill is insane to ,thats what im talking about,
Finished the rear bumper apron today . Now its back to the Plymouth grille. Doing some thing a little different to the grille ends than orginaly planned. It is a secert for now but will post a few pics when finished.
Hey Rick, YOU REALLY F#$@ING INSPIRE ME MAN!! I'm about to start building a 62 galaxie, body mods, and that right there is inspiration!! Thanx for sharing!! Ian
Decided to finish the ends of the 55 Plymouth grille with a smooth radious tapper instead of bullites on the ends. I reshaped the ends out of some old bumper guards I had laying around. Now that I have the grille fitted I can remove it and finish welding all the fab seams on the under side. I then will brass weld all the seams on the outer side and metal finish them so they can be chrome plated.
Fucking sick ass metal work old man . That rear bumper remindes me of another sick ass mercury you have. What happened to the first one piece rear bumper? It looked sick. Is that bad ass 51 going to be finished in time for Santa maria ????
