Technical 49-54 chevy tranny swap

Anybody done an S10 tranny swap in a 49-54 Chevy and used a T5 w an electric speedo drive? I'm wondering how I can make that work in my 52?

 

Your going to need to swap rearends as well if it has nor already been done.

 

I am doing the same 5 speed swap in my 52 styleline right now. I will be running a 1960 261 and will be putting an 85 t-5 5 speed behind it. Call Tom Langdon, he can tell you what tail section you need to use. I bought my T-5 tranny from him. He is very helpful.

You could use the Cable X by Abbott industries to run the speedometer, not cheap but it works well.
