Wondering If could see some pics of front inner wheel wells on 49-54 cars with mustang II, I know it hard to trim out the front inner wheel wells for tophats Aarms etc.. to clearance and make it look good

I cut mine straight across or front to back and sanded the edge so it wasnt sharp. I have a pretty big motor and it fills up the engine bay.
Im not sure you can see much in these pics.

Once you layout for the top hats and upper shock mounts theres not much of the inner part left.

Just trim around the top hats. No need to cut off the whole bottom.

Just did my 53 a couple days ago. Just trimmed around the upper hats, and shock mount. The drivers side already had a big cut out for the stock steering box. Mine is bagged, but the upper arms dont seem to rub.

wondering too, Im gonna put mine all back together and find out. I have a problem with my tires being so tall the camber when Im all the way layed out pushing in on the inner wheel well alot. Might have to make some from scratch. for clearance

Truck here, but have the same type inner fenders.

I was thinking about finding a newer car that has the inner fenders cut out for independent front and buying the rubber flap they have that fills in the cut out area. Then lay it inside mine and trace it out, cut it a little smaller and attach it with some type of fastener. Just an idear.

Im still building it and havent got to drive it with the fenders on. But I did make the upper arm move up and down with a floor jack (its been on jack stands for a while) and nothing seemed to hit or rub.

Im pushing really hard to have the car on the road this summer.

I would think so, due to air movement at speed...also seperating the fenders makes both of them pretty flimsy.

Looking at pictures it looks as if Alex runs no inner fenders on the FU 54
