49-52 Plymouth gas tanks

Are 1949 to 1952 Plymouth/Dodge gas tanks the same? A buddy has a '51 Plymouth and he needs to know what tank to look for. Thanks.

 

All 49 to 52 Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto and Chrysler 6 gas tanks the same. Chrysler straight 8 models ( Imperial New Yorker and Saratoga) are different and so are station wagon.

I tried to find one a few months ago and was lucky enough to find a used one. I couldn't find anyone reproing them. Although I did see some hot rod or universal fit models that were practically the same size, you would need to do something about the gas tank fill pipe though.
