Can anyone post a pic of a 49 -52 chopped sport coupe. I have a 51 and can't figure out whether to chop or not. I'd like to see what others have done before I make a decision. Thanks,

 

My absolute favorite!! Oh Yeah there is a former 1951 Chevrolet 4-Door hidden in there!

I count at least 6 chopped coupes in this thread,,,Shortdog and Jesus Valencia posted a couple of what I consider the best examples of hard-top-chops ever! Merc-o-madness, Zombilly, and Low Tech posted coupes and it looks like blkcat77 is on his way to having a super nice one.

I really love this series of chevys.I've owned a bunch of them over the years.I guess being familiar with the shapes in them is how the hoodlum build came about.I'd say 90% of the sheet metal is 49-52 chevy. I guess this counts.

50 chevy i used to own. one of my favorite cars i ever had. wish i never sold it. belongs to a guy in florida now.

Here are some pics of my buddies 1950. We just lowered this last week with Fatman dropped uprights, & steering arms. Cut a coil and a half out of the front springs and made our own 3 1/2" in blocks for the rear.

 

There is a lot of nice ones. Here is my project. GUS

Bob K,is that your ragtop? Are the front wheel wells lipped to help hide a subframe that is too wide? my '51 has a Camaro subframe and it needs some help like that,I think.Has anyone else figured a way to hide the problem? The car came with the subframe and is too nice to start over.

Here is my 51 sport coupe, a constant project, but fun as Hell!!

 

Draggin breath, my 50 has a camaro subframe. I gently pulled my fenders out away from the tire. Its not really noticeable but helped with the tire rub.
