Will a set of '48 front wishbones (split ) look too long on a Model A chassis? Got pics of this setup?

Nope. Depending on which axle you use you may end up splicing the longer wish bones to your front stubs.

Great, looks like the '48's will work fine!

I'm using them on my 31 sedan. I flipped them upside Down so the y mount near the center of the frame instead of underneath it. I think they look fine

No these were off the '48 Ford that I was thinking might look too long. That short set I got off you is "Plan B". Thanks again for wishbones and wheels. The wheels are gloss black now and look great!

Im still pickin' parts, and trying to decide on a frame. I can't decide on stock A or '32 rails. I go back & forth every time I see one or the other that has the right stance. Starting with no chassis leaves you lot of different directions you can go... Im like a dog chasing cars right now!

I vote model A frame.. A whole lot cheaper and easier to run a hood.. But 32 frames are pretty cool too...

See there I go again... back to the A frame again!

On a side note... I started dissassembling the '48 front end, when I noticed the spring perch bolts look different than what I've seen in the past. The prech bolts have 2 eyelets (holes) side by side above bolt? Some kind of a shock mount maybe??? I don't know? Ideas?

I have a boxed model a frame . I can finish it, blast and epoxy prime it if you need one . Cheap .

Thanks CBC but they always look better in pictures...

  15. One eye is for the sway (anti-roll) bar and the other is for the link for the lever shock. Don't know if the same perch bolts were also used on the tube shock cars in '48.

Whatever:rolleyes:. I've seen it in person a bunch of times, it's bitchin'.

  17. As I'm still a little "green" around here, would you mind telling me a little about the raw finish look on your A? Is it protected in any manner? Thanks.

Just curious as I have a '28 standard coupe in the works and really love the look of yours.
