Hey guys my 48 chevy coupe has a 5 bolt nove rearend and 6 bolt front what year did they go to 5 bolt and what years will interchange, like to go to just 5 bolt
When I had my 42 chevy years ago .I used 52 chevy front hubs, the wheel bearing are the sames from 38 to 53. hope this helps.
Yes it does, I know I want to go to 5 bolt front just not sure if I want to go disc brake conversion or like you said 52 hubs and drums.
you can always go to disk brakes, think its 1949-54 car hubs and drums. wash out the old grease use the old bearings and "seals" set up your brakes and your' good to go
