Pretty straight forward build here.... SOLID 48 Chevy business coupe - updated suspension and drivetrain, built to DRIVE, and drive ALOT. Simple, basic, no frills ....what ....so....ever.
Lets face it... Must II under of a fat fendered ride like this is the only way to go... eliminate the worn out kingpin setup from 48. This is a Jim Weimer kit that we offer. Not pictured now, but later, just a simple Chassis Engineering parallel rear leaf spring setup. Had to do my own shock setup, as I did not want to alter the floor to use the CE one...
Plan is to eliminate the original K-member, to make way for the 350/700r4 combo, and replace it with a SIMPLE tube crossmember / x member.... first was a drop out trans mount crossmember. All this will be installed, tacked in under car while body is on, and final welded when body is pulled, pics of that will be taken then.
