    Oh no!
I've worked in shops like that. Careless sometimes, blameless all the time, looking for the easiest way to get things out the door.

Call him back & tell him you can't afford to get it pinstriped so the paint has to be perfect. Don't let him repair anything until you see it in person.

By the time I got over there everything was fixed and repainted. And it's finally home. Lesson learned. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1409911651.365213.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1409911664.315264.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1409911676.381619.jpg
I drove it home on a bucket with no exhaust. I just wanted to get it out of there. Off to the muffler shop tomorrow and then upholstery.

  3. Well at least it's home- finally.
    Be careful on your bucket.

NSS is something that should be real important.

    lol YEAH, Be careful!

I remember driving a car sitting on a milk crate.
Not fun tryin to work the clutch when yer seat moves.

After I almost hit some poor slob, I stopped and wired it to the carpet. :D

Well it got me home...but I don't recommend it.

BTW I see you de-seamed the hood. I need to do mine.

My hood seam is crooked (not aligned from side to side) from the factory. you don't see it with the trim on, but with the trim off it's too obvious.

I dropped the car off at interior Friday. The seats have been done for months I went with black with brown piping. They look great!! I am looking for the headliner retainer for both sides if anyone know where to find that or an alternate easily accessible part to use. I'm missing the passenger side and half the driver side went missing after the chop! ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1410868688.660763.jpg
Hopefully it will be done soon because I just blew the motor on my 64 Grand Prix :( it had less then 800 miles on it since the rebuild.

Those things are pretty flimsy. Mine aren't in perfect shape & I was thinking of a "hard" headliner anyhow, because I wanted to put some stuff in it.

Almost ready!!! Got the glass in today. Done by Kotto Glass. He does all the overhauling glass work. Really good job without the overhauling prices. A lot of those shops they use are in Huntington Beach where I live. Amd all the prices went through the roof after they were in the show.
Interior will be finished next week and I will be on the road!!

Just ordered the Jegs Vortec top end kit and a new cam. Not very impressed with the '72 sbc 350. Looking to bump up the compression and get a little boost in power. I'm doing it backward I should have done this motor work when Half Throttle (that's my new name for the shop I was using aka Full Throttle) had the car sitting for so long.

Well the interior looks pretty good. I had a stock '74 (low compression) SBC 350 & raising the compression 1 point was a BIG difference in that engine.

Goodies just arrived from Jegs and Summit. I'm waiting for the Grand Prix to get finished so I will have a car to drive. I have 3 classic cars and I swam to be rotating them in ad out of the shop. I think I could be driving a Ferrari by now. Speaking of Ferrari I was driving the Plymouth Dow. PCH yesterday and I see this brand new Ferrari California at a light. The guy flips a u turn pulls up to me and says NICE CAR lol got to love that!!! I said I'll trade you!! He laughed and speeds off in his quarter million $$ bright red panty dropper.
