I have access to a couple good deals.....I'm wondering if anyone knows if the cab and front clip mounts on the frame are the same on a '47 as a '48-'51.
Also, does anyone know the wheelbase on both trucks?
I can get a complete, solid 47 for $500, and a completely restored, boxed, powdercoated, rear 8.8 axle flipped, Z-ed frame with 60 mustang brakes, setup for a 302/AOD.
    What do you think?

    alright.....
    A 1947 Ford pickup is a different body style than a 1948-1951 (F1).
I'm wondering if anyone knows the wheelbase of both style trucks.
Also, if I can set the 47 cab and front end on the 48-51 frame and have the mounts match up.

Wheelbase and frame width are the same, the 42/7 cab will bolt on, BUT......the 48/52 frames are different from the front crossmember forward, ( rear ward from the front crossmember they are identical). The frame rails extend further forward also.
It could be done, modifications would be needed on the frame and or the lower sheet metal.

Thanks for the info. I've got some different options for the front end/sheetmetal. As long as the cab will bolt on, i think i'm in good shape.
