removed al the wood from the ramp and my dad is coating them with epoxy i started to make a second corner piece i have cut the wood and glued them together (forgot to take pic's of that) and i have made the attachement for the left fender after looking for a while at the front of the rear fenders it felt it was missing something so i made some small runningboard pieces
Hey, you are cheating...first off, you have a lot of room to move about, and now you have your dad working on it.
well the coe is from my ucle and the garage space as well, i am just fortunate to have access to it and share the same hobby (obsession ) oh and sorry for violating the rules today i have (me only) done some rust repairs on the grill suround and i have got the front bumper and brackets in place it needed some adjustment to make it fit to the chassis
It is looking good. Are you going to use the stock headlight stands or use the smooth truck versions without the park lights? What color will it be painted? What interior color? (I tried to share hobbies with my dad, but his hobby was telling me to quit messing with cars.)
Beautiful wood. I love wood. I hope you turned the crown up on those boards--would be a shame for them to warp later on(sorry, couldn't help myself--my grandpa was a carpenter) I'm really really enjoying your build, as I have a 40 COE and a 63 roadster....but neither as far along as yours. Thanks for sharing
will use the stock headlights on the color we are thinking of Atomic orange with black above the belt line
Yep, that would look good with the wood color. Now quit goofing off on the internet and finish the side panels so we can all drool over it some more.
Just blew an hour here, but it was all worth it. Great work man to say the least. But I have to ask, do you clean up before each pic, your place is so freaking clean! Just outstanding work and design.
haha sorry to say but the side panels will be added later on when i have the chassis and ramp frame painted and the wood back on, it will be polished stainles steel and halfway painted. but in the mean time i will keep annoy you with pic's today i have made some fender skirts and i am verry pleased with the end result next step will be making the attachment mechanism
Outstanding & I'll concur ... the skirts make it & balance the side. The mini running boards - great thought & execution. I'm in.
Maybe but it will be scary to do with the simple hand beadroller i have . And without screwing up the stainless steel sheets Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
That would be scarry and expensive if it messed up. When I did my boxes I set up a large table next to the roller to hold the panel before and after the roller, I installed a long straight edge connected to the roller for the panel to slide along. I then figured out which way to roll so the panel would be pushed into the edge . All this allowed me to make nice straight lines by myself with my hand crank since you can't stop the roller or you might get a mark.
ok after a short holiday to istanbul, i am back on the Coe , have been working on the fender skirt attachment mechanism. the first attempt it was non adjustable well that didnt work.... so the second attempt i made it adjustable also made a Stainles steel gutter to hold the loading ramps and customizing the aluminum ramps and here in the storage rail
