Drove my 46 Ford over the weekend w/ the original Flathead V8 and 3spd trans and somewhere on the drive it decided to not shift into 2nd gear. Would shift fine in to 1st, 3rd and even reverse. Just will not go into 2nd at all. Is this something simple or out of adjustment or time for a rebuild?
Crawl underneath and check to make sure all of the shift linkage is "free" and not binding in any way. Hopefully some lubrication and/ or adjustment will solve the issues. That linkage runs down the column too as far as I know, so check everything thoroughly. Good luck.
