Dark colors look sinister on a chopped car...
Lite colors lend the look of an early custom....
Dark colors are hard to keep clean...
Lite colors can be accented easier...
Dark colors show off crappy body work...
Lite colors tend to hide crappy body work better...

MY vote, FWIW, is go with a liter color!!!

I don't like pearl white on a car like yours. I guess it's because I've seen one around here and it's a POS.Not because of the color;because of the bodywork underneath. What about a yellow pearl w/ ghost flames or a soft yellow w/pearl yellow ghost flames??
