    I still need to get a (strong) drive shaft.....

    It was done in less than 15 minutes with the help of some friends!

    There will be plenty more updates coming soon!

  5. It was in bodywork jail for a long time... Hopefully upholstery jail won't take as long... LOL

    We had to use a couple of bricks in order to get sufficient frame clearance......worked out just fine.

    Even though we drove during the quietest period of the day, a little traffic jam occurred behind us as nearly everyone slowed down to take a better look. The drive was also a chance for all the remaining dust to get blown out of the car...saves me time later on!

  19. I have a few comments to make...

    First, I like what you've done; a very 'traditional' looking build, with all the non-trad stuff pretty much hidden (Don't ask, don't tell... LOL). A near-perfect blend of traditional with modern practicality. With one glaring exception IMO; those straight stacks on the FI. Those scream 'race car', which if you were a 'typical' custom owner would rarely be seen as most don't open the hood. Like that's gonna happen here... LOL. Could I suggest a change there? I can think of two options; one fabricate a 'scoop' or flash suppressor that attaches to the stacks for a more 'custom' flavor. As an alternative, a set of 90 degree bend stacks facing forward, which would be 'custom' enough to fit the style of the car but retain the 'here lies power' vibe... I think the bent stacks would look best, but a scoop or scoops (one per bank) could look good too if done to your usual standards. Plus maybe protecting the hood paint in case of any 'issues'...

    Personal opinion only, but as they are those clash with the rest of the car IMO...

    Hi there Steve. Thanks for the comments. I realize that the car is not to everyones taste, people would always do one or two things different if they were to build one themselves. But isn't that the whole part of a custom car? Customize it to your own taste. Every aspect of this build has gone through my head quite a few times, prior to pulling the trigger. And yes, every comment that has been made in this (very long) build thread has been answered and thought about.

    To answer the "stacks" issue: I've always been a fan of these. I know the hood will be closed most of the time, but I like the idea of someone being surprised once the hood pops open. Not just by the stacks, but by the attention to detail, the thought behind certain things and of course the 392. I hope this answers your "concern". Stay safe, Eric/farmer12

    I like the stacks. You're a gentleman for explaining why you've done something Eric. No real need to. Most followers know the amount of thought (and work) you've put into this project. Awesome build!

    Thank you hogman. I think everyone is entitled to their opinion, that's what makes this board so great. Input from everyone, right or not, is appreciated. If everyone had my taste, everyone would build a car like mine!

Most customs reveal your common multi-carb setups with frog mouth carb scoops (like in my avatar), caddy dual scoop air cleaners which are great to look at, etc. In Eric's case, opening up his hood and revealing the elephant '92 mill with a Hilborn Injection setup and stacks will definitely personify the "WOW" factor for a unique change.

    Can't say enough on how beautiful your Plymouth is turning out! Are you planning to finish most of the wiring and eventually allowing your '92 to run before you mount your fenders on?

    Thank you Rock. The interior will be light/tan in order to make the relative small space appear larger. There will also be some black painted elements like the dash and tunnel cover.

    Thank you for the kind words Mike. I think I'll start mounting (painted) parts while a buddy of mine will take care of the wiring. He's done this a lot of times and is waaaaaay better and quicker at it than me. I'll help him out but the credits will go to him.

  28. Beautiful car Eric. You had a great day weatherwise to get the car home. Today and tomorrow you could actually work on the car outside. Close to 20C. Maybe last chance this year. Get a late tan too :cool::D.

    Thank Gaz! Working outside will probably attract a little too much attention.... and I won't get much work done. At least she's in good company inside the building. (see pic below)
