41 ford chopped

i have seen this 41 chopped coupe on modelthaven.com for 1800.00 and know something isn't right but i can't figure it out. what am i missing? it is in pre war cars.

I'd be worried about what's under that primer personally... but then again it's $1800

 

Thats a short door, and the beltline is a little wonky. Is it made out of a 4-door?

 

for some reason the computer here at work wouldn't let me link it. like i said there is something funny about the car, i don't know much about the 41's but it doesn't look right.

 

That car was on Craigslist and is really rough and poorly done, there were too styles of coupes, business has the short door and no rear seat. Personally the chop ruined the lines of the car, rear of the top doesn't look right.

 

Agreed on the short door and rear roofline not flowing well. Quarter window shape doesn't look too hot either.
Looks rough under the primer. Trunk lid inner support hacked away, etc.
Would be more work to get right than starting with a stocker.

 

He should have left it alone---I try not to criticise, but it's hard not to.

 

Quarter window, rounded door corner and no drip rail is funky looking. 3/4 photo picture
(1st pic) showing rear of the top doesn't look right.

 

just walk away-just because may be cheap to buy, will not be cheap to fix.
