I used a '46 Chevy grille in my '41 Custom ex-coupe Convertible I built several years ago .....it REALLY suited it.
I'll try and find a pic...

    Your car looks great .....

Heres a pic of my '41 with the'46 grille , painted frame and chrome bars , I really liked it as it gave the car a very post-war look , specially with stock front suspension and lowered rear with '40 ford skirts...

No good side shots sorry its cold out to push it outside. She wont start or move very good since the chop.
But other things have got me tied up. Upholstery jobs and house work. Here are some worthless progress pics, and the first view of the
41 the way i found this $100 project.

Link i love the way ur 41 looks. I hope that desoto will also give my chevy a post war look. 56 Kustom, my chevy has all the stock rearend components. All i did was add a peice of 3 by 3 inch 3/16 tubing and welded it on top of the frame than cut where the axel is. I had to lift the driveshaft tunnel up all the to the tranny tunnel. I got about 6 inches of clearance with this setup. But instead of adding more blocks im going to get the springs dearched and the eyes reversed. thanks for all the responces. makes me want to get the house done a liltte quicker.

Forget the house work, the season is around the corner and you need to
drop everthing and get that grill finished. Love your choice of grill!!

    Very Kool!!

    Happy Trails,
