I was wondering what springs and axle was used for the front suspension?
Very nice build on a one of a kind piece of history.

New Updates today. The glass is now in (green glass).

The hood went on today. Note the bracing under the hood. Holes drilled to match other parts throughout the entire car. All polished stainless.

Door panels went on. The lines flow throughout the entire interior. From the door panels to the rear panels to the rear firewall and around. Tim Robbins did all the aluminum and metal work in the car at Lo Man Rods shop (LMR).

The hood went on today. John Compton and crew (who built the engine) came over to finish tune the engine even more. You will see by a link or 2 coming up how it sounds and the power it creates.

After tuning the car, the "zoomie" headers made their way on. Wow, I need earplugs now, but it sounds so cool!

Nothing like working on a Willys and the American Flag rising above it.

Piece by piece it is coming together.

Pic. 1 shows the bumper now on.

Pic. 2-3 shows the front nose piece with the original grill and all new chrome.

Pic. 4 shows the door panels on with the original door handle and window cranks. Original chrome on these.

The entire front end should go on tomorrow! Then a lot of buffing, waxing, and sweat to make it look pretty for this weekend.

Thank you to any and all that have provided me with additional pictures of this car. They will come in handy to share the history of the car.

    Sincerely,
    Kevin

I did not order them. LMR (Lo Man Rods) measured and ordered them for the car.

Here are some of the details coming together today! The complete front end is designed to come on and off in one piece.

Lights and gauges are working, computer lighting up!

    All the aluminum is in.

View from the rear. Looking at the chrome rear end, springs and custom made and chrome ladder bars.

That is a stunning Willys. The chromed suspension really adds to the car.

We were able to get the car to the Hot Rod Reunion this weekend. The front end went on Wed. and the car was buffed on Thursday morning. We loaded up and left Thursday afternoon. My first drive behind the wheel was Thursday night in Bowling Green. It was a thrill to drive the car. For those that were there this weekend and heard the car, hopefully you thought it sounded cool with the zoomie headers on it. Either way, I loved it. The car seemed to get a lot of attention and won top 50 at the event.

Here are some pics of the car in line for the awards this weekend and in the staging lanes. It felt like it was home again after nearly 40 years.

Thanks for the response and kind words. We were pleased with the response that the car received. We had a lot of people that still were asking if it were a glass car since they rarely see one all done up. The tin work, head rests and little details (such as the entire body being painted inside) seem to catch a lot of attention. Hopefully all those that saw the car caught some of these details and appreciate the work that was put into the car.
