  6. I just drug this little gem home yesterday after several years in storage. 1948.Supposed to have run a year or two ago but judging from the hard sediment and molasses like crap I found in the fuel pump bowl and carb, I think it has been setting about 10 years. Pretty solid ole girl for being 70 years old. Stock running gear with a flatty V8, repainted and reupholstered. Plans are to get it driving.......thats it.
Hadn't planned to buy another car when I am trying to thin the herd but.... hey, an addiction is rough to stop, can't quit cold turkey...

The first two pics were from the previous owner before I got it. I put the red 16" Ford wheels on a month after I bought it.

This was my fathers restoration. He did almost all of the work except the paint. Still had the original tires on it so he never drove it, or let me drive it! It’s such a cool time machine. I ‘d like to lower it some and drive it. Paint isn’t perfect but its very sound mechanically, except the brakes. I’m going to have to redo the entire brake system. They have been done before but I’m sure its going to be easier to just replace it all again.

I've recently found an appreciation for the long door coupes. Here's one I'm customizing for a fella here on the HAMB. I'll post more pictures as it progresses. I should have the chop done next week sometime. It'll get molded rear fenders and pan, shortened hood trim, nosed, and rounded corners. I'll put it in a tinted primer before it gets shipped out. Still has the flatty with Evans heads and a Columbia rear end!

Thank you! Its the secret Davis Haus of Style Flow Formula! I never liked these cars chopped because of the wonky quarter windows that most end up with, but i think ive got it figured out. Now scheduling chops for the winter!

I've always been complimented on this chop. One of the best comments was by Dick Dean "That's the way I would have done it" The red one is what I bought from gtnrkix
in 92 and within 2 months it was torn down and came out as the purple rendition in 97

Thanks for the compliment. I didn't do the chop. Charlie Chops lives here in Muskegon and he did the chop. I was hands on helping with the lines and the look I wanted. I also wanted the gutter left. The car was a joint effort between he and I.
