    Hi Everyone ,

Brand new member here from New Zealand , my ride is a stock 63 Buick 2 dr post sedan , 401 nailhead and dynaflow trans , great old car with sweet motor but i have a problem i just cant seem to fix ,it has a 2 jet rochester ( large base) and when you turn the car off after a few minutes the fuel in the carb must perculate with the heat and force pass the float and drip fuel on the the butterflies fuel seeps through the butterfly axles and out on the manifold , car is then flooded and hard too start plus house stinks of fuel fumes ,this is what i have tried so far is there something i am missing ??

-carb re- kitted completely and float level checked
-carb spacer and shield installed form
-moved fuel filter position to keep it cooler
-heat proof sleeve over fuel line from pump to carb
    -running a 160 degree thermostat
-removed butterfly in exhaust manifold in case it was closing

    Any help or advise appreciated..

Hi I'm also a new member from nz how'd you get on with your problem here have just come across your post, used to get this occasionally when the needle valve in the fuel bowl wasn't seating properly even with a new valve if theres wear in the seat it seals against the other thing could b a pin hole in one of your floats maybe? Anyway you've probably sorted it by now just a thought
