I saw this today on ebay. Whats the difference between how this nailhead set up for a boat and how its set up for a car? Would it be an easy conversion for a rod project?

    nailhead from a boat

    Thanks,

  2. KC,
I think the most major changes are the waterpump and the exhaust.
It looks like that one has an in and out box on the back which you could sell to someone with a budget midget or that type of roundy round car.
The backwards motor would be really cool to have also, just because its backwards.

Is it odd to have the filter on top?

Unusual, yes. Looks like there's an adapter attached to it though.

    Hey KC,

The one thing you need to check is the cam. If the motor was mounted backwards with a V-drive. The cam is ground to run the motor in reverse. If so just install a forward rotation cam.

thanks retrofire for the response! That makes sense.
