Hot Rods 40 ford windshield rubber

    open to any opinions on who has the best front windshield rubber for a coupe- sedan for a 1940 ford leaks and fit possibilities also???

  3. Bob, I have used Drake with each of mine. Be sure to use sealer between the sides to close the gap, as if it takes in water there, it will definitely leak like there's no tomorrow.

  4. I used Drake on my 40 coupe with no problems. All the rubber products I have used from
    Drake fit & seem to be of high quality. Jerry

  5. Also, when you get the glass cut to replace the broken glass, be sure to make sure that they cut it correctly. There is a radius on the bottom edge and if they leave it flat it won't fit and will also cause gaps in the seal.
     
  6. And I'll through in my $.02 for Drake seals; used them on all the windows in my '40 and they all fit well.
